AUSTRIA: DAY ONE OF TRAINING COMPLETE

Training

Training starts in intense heat in Walchsee on day one of Austrian tour

Cardiff City completed their first day of training in intense heat as the Bluebirds got their pre-season tour in Austria underway.

Arriving in Walchsee in the Austrian state of Tyrol early Thursday evening, Ole Gunnar Solskjær quickly put his squad to work the following morning as they took to the picturesque surroundings of the Kufstein region under an already intense morning heat.

With pre-season already two-weeks old as the squad prepare for the start of the upcoming Sky Bet Championship season and that opening match with Blackburn Rovers on Friday 8th August, a morning session soon paved the way for a split afternoon run out, as both defenders and attackers took to their specific drills.

It’s sure to be a week of hard work, sweat and games out in Austria and the City boss will soon be able to judge their levels of match fitness as they prepare to take on their third and fourth games of pre-season against TSV 1860 Munich and KS Teuta Durres in Kirchbichl on Saturday.
