City midfielder set to feature in first World Cup for his country

City midfielder Kim Bo Kyung has been named in South Korea’s 23 man squad for the upcoming 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

A regular in the Cardiff City side this season making 31 appearances for the Bluebirds in all competitions, Kim Bo is set for his first ever World Cup finals having been named in Hong Myung-bo’s squad alongside Sunderland’s midfielder Ki Sung-yeung, on-loan from Swansea City and Arsenal’s Park Chu-young.

Kim has 26 caps for his country so far.

South Korea will be making their ninth appearance at a World Cup finals this summer and have been drawn in Group H in the competition alongside Russia, Algeria and Belgium.
