The Academy then host Carmarthen Town following their 4-1 away win over Cambrian & Clydach in the second round.

With twenty-three players currently completing apprenticeships as well as a thriving U16 setup, the City staff will be aiming for two wins from this busy weekend – this is not the first time they have had to face a two game weekend this season.

The apprentices defeated local rivals Merthyr Town in the opening round of the FAW Youth Cup, 8-1.  This result coming just a single day after the 1-0 away win over Nottingham Forest.

The 4-1 victory over Cambrian also came just over 24 hours after a 2-1 home victory over Crystal Palace.

Sunday’s FAW Youth Cup clash kicks off at 2.00pm, as City aim to continue their cup run at Cardiff International Sports Stadium. Free entry for all who wish to come down and support.
