Cardiff City's U18 side face two games in two days


The Cardiff City Academy apprentices have a busy weekend ahead as they face off against Crystal Palace in league action on Saturday morning, before taking on Cambrian & Clydach on Sunday afternoon in the second round of this seasons FAW Youth Cup.

In a change to the original schedule, Saturday's match with Palace will now take place in the Welsh Capital instead of London. With the reverse league fixture now moved to the English Capital on Saturday 14th March 2015.

Saturday's Professional Development League Two South clash will kick-off at Cardiff International Sport Stadium at 11am with fans welcome to come and support our #FutureCityStars.

The Academy then visit Cambrian & Clydach following their first round victory over Merthyr Town.

The apprentices defeated local rivals Merthyr 8-1, with forward Aidan Chappell-Smith scoring four goals.

With twenty-three players currently completing apprenticeships as well as a thriving U16 setup, the City staff will be aiming for two wins from this busy weekend.

1.30pm kick-off on Sunday afternoon, as City aim to continue their cup run at King George's New Field.
