BRAVING THE SHAVE - FOR MEG & MACMILLAN

Community
Members of the Bluebirds first team playing and coaching staff went for the ‘one all over’ in support of a much-loved colleague on Thursday.

Vale Catering Assistant Megan Selwood is bravely battling breast cancer, and Ben Wilson, Martyn Margetson, Joel Woodington and David Bush played their part this week in order to raise awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support. Our special thanks to Vale Resort barber Lewis Jones for treating the lads to the complimentary trims.

Megan’s colleague, Julia Williams, instigated the charity shave – part of a national fund-raising cause initiated by Macmillan for the month of August.

“Working closely with Meg and seeing her battle this illness every day with such strength is inspirational,” Julia told us. “Macmillan is a charity close to my heart and I wanted to bring ‘Brave the Shave’ to the Vale for Cardiff City to get involved.

“Thursday was a really enjoyable day for us all as we pulled together for Meg and Macmillan.”
