Super-Marshy and co to support Dreams & Wishes when Sheff Weds visit CCS…

For our match with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, 12th December 2015, we’re inviting supporters of all ages to dress up as their favourite Superheroes in support of our friends at Dreams & Wishes.

Dreams & Wishes is a volunteer-ran organisation, which focuses solely on granting wishes. The support they receive from volunteers is invaluable as they bring a diverse range of expertise from many business areas, all of which help in the day-to-day running of the charity, raising awareness, organising events and of course, ensuring that dreams come true. Cardiff City have been involved with Dreams & Wishes for a number of years, with Craig Noone proudly taking on the mantel of Club Ambassador with the charity last season. The Club also proudly shows support for Dreams & Wishes each festive period with a special Christmas visit.

This isn’t the first time Cardiff City and Superheroes have been mentioned in the same breath. In 2010, a number of first-team stars donned their favourite Superhero costumes while raising money and awareness for Tŷ Hafan. You can get some inspiration from the Bluebirds players, including Marshy and Danger-Kev below.

We’ll have Club photographers out in force before, during and after the match with the Owls in an attempt to capture all the best costume shots throughout the day. We’re delighted to be able to offer three fantastic prizes for the best-dressed supporters – a half-season ticket, match-ball signed by the Bluebirds squad and two places in our Sony hospitality Suite for the Brentford match on December 15th.

Supporters have got three ways to be considered for our Superhero comp. Tweet us your pictures using #CitySuperSelfie, comment on our Facebook post with your Superhero shot or email to club@cardiffcityfc.co.uk. Good luck!

Dreams & Wishes will be hosting a bucket collection before the match against Wednesday, you can find out more about the organisation and the wonderful work completed by their volunteers by visiting: dreamsandwishescharity.org. Dreams & Wishes also has its own Just Giving page for online donations: justgiving.com/DreamsandWishes.
