Cardiff City XI draw 1-1 against Cheltenham.


Following a strong showing on Tuesday against Premier League newboys Watford, a Cardiff City XI drew 1-1 at 'National League' Cheltenham Town on Wednesday night.

Cheltenham Town forward Bobbie Dale gave the home team a one-goal advantage with 14 minutes on the clock. The 19-year old attacked beat the offside trap before firing an unstoppable shot low past Scotland International goalkeeper David Marshall.

The Bluebirds were unlucky not to level in the opening period with Eoin Doyle, Matty Kennedy and Ben Nugent all going close.
  
The second goal of the match finally came with a little under four minutes remaining. Spanish forward Javi Guerra rising highest to head home a deserved levelling goal from a pinpoint Tommy O’Sullivan corner kick.
  
Russell Slade’s first team squad complete their pre-season programme on Friday evening, with a trip to AFC Bournemouth before kicking off the 2015/16 season on August 8th, hosting Fulham at Cardiff City Stadium.
