This Friday evening, Wales begin their preparations for France 2016, taking on the Netherlands in a friendly match at Cardiff City Stadium.

While Paul Trollope and Martyn Margetson will be involved in a coaching capacity, Cardiff City Academy graduates James Collins, Chris Gunter and Joe Ledley have all been named in the squad. You can buy tickets for the match here.

2018 FIFA WORLD CUP

Good luck to Kenwyne Jones who skippers Trinidad and Tobago as they kick off their qualification campaign for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Soca Warriors face Guatemala and the United States in their opening matches of the CONCACAF semi-final stage of qualifiers.

EURO 2016 PLAY-OFF

Having earned a third-place Group D finish to keep themselves in with a chance of UEFA Euro 2016 qualification, Republic of Ireland will go up against Bosnia-Herzegovina in a two-legged play-off match.

Anthony Pilkington is on stand-by for the Ireland squad, for their matches on Friday and Monday, both kicking off at 7:45pm.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

If Ireland make it to France, they will join Aron Gunnarsson’s Iceland, who sealed their place at the tournament with a tremendous qualification campaign.

During this break, the Iceland captain has been called up for two international friendlies away from home against Poland and Slovakia.

U21 INTERNATIONALS

Finally, the Cardiff City U21 Development side has several players off on international duty. Declan John and FAW Young Player of the Year, Tommy O’Sullivan, are due to face Armenia and Romania in Bangor and Wrexham respectively, with Tom James and Theo Wharton on standby for the fixtures.

Meanwhile, Belgium U19 face their Croatian counterparts on Thursday, with young Bluebird, Marco Weymans, also set to be involved.
