Joe Mason has been named in the top ten Sky Bet Championship players so far this season by Sky Sports pundit and commentator, Andy Hinchcliffe.
Following a terrific pre-season, Joe has led the line admirably for the Bluebirds throughout this campaign. His five goals and tireless running have seen him catch the eye, as he was selected alongside the likes of Hull City’s Abel Hernández, Burnley’s Joey Barton and Reading’s Nick Blackman on the list.
“I've not seen a striker, or somebody playing a No 10, cover as much ground as he does,” said Hinchcliffe, who played for Manchester City, Everton, Sheffield Wednesday and England.
“His willingness, his energy is absolutely fantastic - no ball is hopeless - but he isn't just that type of player; he's got five goals this season and he's very talented.
“It's great to see him getting some notice as an individual. It's not all about that of course but given he's so selfless - a real team player - it's especially good to see. If he continues to do as well as he's done so far I think Cardiff have a real chance of making the play-offs.”
