WHO EXPECTED THAT? HALF-TIME CAPERS

11 November 2015

Watch Ash Randall dazzle the CCS crowd!

Half-Time Entertainment at our Reading fixture on Saturday saw a surprise skill-school battle commence!

Academy U18 players Jarrad Welsh and James Waite initially stepped into the centre circle to show off their silky skills, sparring each other through trickery with a football in front of the live CCS crowd. But after failing to execute a trick, Jarrad blamed a pitch divot and challenged a Cardiff City groundsman to do better! In true Bluebirds fashion, the challenge was accepted!

Within the blink of an eye, a groundsman was on his back doing heel keep-ups - a truly impressive skill - much to the shock of the crowd. The man in question then went on to perform various tricks with pretty much every part of his body, showing remarkable freestyle skills!

However this was no ordinary groundsman, this was undercover football freestyler Ash Randall! (Scroll to the bottom to watch)

Ash broke his first ever record at Cardiff City Stadium in 2010; he now holds a staggering eighteen Guinness World Records for different football freestyle skills.

It’s no surprise that Ash has worked with football icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney on various campaigns and TV commercials. There’s no doubting that his impressive technique and skills with a football are up there with the best.

With all three lads who took part in the half-time activity hailing from Cardiff and the surrounding areas, this impressive displaying of home grown talent is something we should all be proud of. Well done all for another very successful half-time treat!

Half-Time Entertainment has returned for 2015/16 in conjunction with the .Cardiff City Foundation If you have any ideas that you’d like to see form part of a match-day, email our Half-Time Host, Huw Day – huw.day@cardiffcityfc.org.uk
