RUSSELL: CREDIT TO THE CLUB, CREDIT TO THE FANS

Club News

Russell Slade hosted a pre-match press conference at The Vale Resort this morning, looking ahead to tomorrow afternoon’s huge Sky Bet Championship clash with Derby County (TICKETS HERE).

The City boss was keen to praise both the fans and the Club for their efforts over the Easter international break, with the highest home attendance of the season expected at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.

“Every match gets bigger,” began Russell. “And they’re not going to be much bigger at this stage of the season with eight games to go, and Derby County being the visitors.

“We’re looking forward to that challenge and we’ll embrace it in front of our biggest crowd of the season. Hopefully we can get the perfect result.

“There have been some really good initiatives that the Club, Ken Choo and the staff have put together, with good incentives to buy Season Tickets early – that seems to have gone down well.

“They’ve been working tirelessly, publicising Cardiff City in the streets of Cardiff and enticing people to come down. It’s the positivity that we require, and with eight games to go it’s always going to help.

“With the crowd pulling in the right direction, right behind their team, and the players giving it everything out on the pitch, it’s a dangerous situation for any team that’s visiting us.”
