CARDIFF CITY COACHES ASSOCIATION: WORKSHOP THREE

Club News

Cardiff City Football Club will be hosting its third Coaches Association workshop of the 2015/16 season on Tuesday, 1st March 2016 – continuing the solid work of the two previous events that were enjoyed by grassroots and professional coaches alike towards the end of 2015.

Mark Neville, Cardiff City’s Lead Foundation Coach (U5-U11) for over ten years, presented to over 70 youth coaches back in September, explaining the ‘power of play’ within City’s Academy.

Our second workshop of the campaign focused on the integrated physical philosophy within the Academy Curriculum, with ‘Lead Academy Sports Scientist’, Andy Whittington taking charge of the event at Cardiff City Stadium.

This time out, ‘Lead Youth Development Phase Coach (U12-U16)’ Dane Facey will be presenting on how ‘The Player is the Practice', splitting his time equally between a presentation at Cardiff City Stadium before moving on to showcase the theme in a practical element with members of the Cardiff City Academy at the ‘House of Sport’.

These innovative workshops are open to all who have an interest in football, whether an aspiring coach, parent or fan – completely free of charge!

Our thanks once again to the Welsh Football Trust for their support in helping to arrange the Coaches Association events, helping to further Welsh football from grassroots to Academy level.
