Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock addressed the assembled press & media on Friday morning, looking ahead to our first home game of the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship season.
The manager reflected on a productive first week of the campaign which saw City pick up victories against Burton Albion and Portsmouth in the Sky Bet Championship and Carabao Cup respectively.
“It’s great to get the three points, and then you play with a little bit more freedom.” Neil began. “Especially at a place like Burton. It’s a difficult place – you’ll see that over this season.
“In the second half on Tuesday we pushed it and got the game back. They’ve really worked hard pre-season and we are getting fitter.”
The Gaffer finished with a rallying cry for the Bluebirds support – with over 22,000 tickets already sold for our opening home game, against Aston Villa.
“There has always been an aura about Villa. It’s a massive club and they should be in that top half of the Premier League.
“Our fans know they’re going to get good value for money Saturday, whatever the result, and they can be proud of their own Club.
“Now’s the time to come on board. We need everybody!”
