Young Bluebirds claim all three points after strong showing on the road…

Cardiff City's U18 side recorded an impressive away victory on Saturday, 14th October - defeating Ipswich Town, 3-0.

The Bluebirds were without forward Isaak Davies (international duty) who impressed last time out when City saw off Queens Park Rangers 6-2 at the Vale Resort. However this did little to prevent a free scoring City team of late.

Chances went either way in the first half but the Tractor Boys couldn’t find a way past the resilient Cardiff back four.

It was the visitors who took the lead seven minutes before the interval. Welsh midfielder Sion Spence netting to give City a deserved half time lead.

Shortly after the restart, the Bluebirds increased their advantage. Spence on hand again to clinically beat the Town goalkeeper on 49 minutes.

The game was put to bed five minutes after the hour mark when the in-form Spence clinched a superb hat-trick. The playmaker once again kept his composure to slot home and give the Bluebirds their first away win of the campaign.

City will look to make it three wins on the bounce when they take on Colchester United at Cardiff International Sports Campus on Saturday, 21st October 2017.
