Warnock: Our spirits are high

Interviews

Neil Warnock held a pre-match press conference at the Vale Resort ahead of City's weekend trip to Watford.

The Bluebirds' victory over Southampton last Saturday took them to 14th place in the Premier League table. Neil began by mentioning the spirit in the dressing room, as they prepare for another test away from home.

"Spirits have been high all season really," said the Gaffer. "We always knew the home form would be critical and it has given us a bit of leeway, but we've got to start picking up points away from home.

"We're still learning but I do think we've improved as the season has gone on.

"We've got a very tight and together squad, which the fans have helped bring about. We go into each game as a Club, not a team."

The Hornets are seven points, but just two places, above the Bluebirds in the Premier League table, and the City boss went on to assess Saturday's opposition.

"They've been in the top flight for a few years now and they've improved every year," he said. "You've got to have pace, power and athleticism and they've got that in abundance.

"I thought they played some super stuff the other night away at Everton and we know it's going to be difficult, so we've got to be a little bit more disciplined away from home."
