City head to London for the second consecutive away trip, facing Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs at Wembley.

Whilst their new stadium in Upper Edmonton, Tottenham, is being completed, Spurs play their home matches at Wembley Stadium. Their temporary home is approximately three hours away from CCS by car or coach, via the M4, A312, A40 and A406. Supporters looking to park near the stadium can do so by booking online in advance at www.wembleyofficialparking.com. Please note that the ‘Red’ car park is permitted to be used by both sets of fans, unlike the ‘Yellow’ car park, which is for home supporters only.

As always, coach travel to and from the match will be provided by Cardiff City Supporters Club. The prices for the journey are as follows; £27 for Adults, £23 for over 60’s and 18-21’s, £19 for unaccompanied under-18’s and £16 for accompanied under-18’s. These fares are for Members only, and those wishing to book travel should contact 07814 779941. Coaches will be parked in the York House Car Park. Whether travelling by car or coach, please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time for traffic on the motorway.

There is a frequent train service operating between Cardiff Central and London Paddington on matchday, with a journey time of between two and three hours. Please note that some services are not direct and require one or two changes - be careful to check before booking. Upon arrival at Paddington station, City fans should head to either Wembley Park or Wembley Central Tube stations. The fastest route is on the Bakerloo Line to Baker Street, then a change onto the Metropolitan Line, alighting at Wembley Park. From the station, fans will be able to see the venue at the other end of Olympic Way.

Wembley Stadium is the biggest stadium in Britain, with an overall capacity of 90,000. Spurs set the record highest Premier League attendance last season, when they defeated Arsenal 1-0 with a crowd of 83,222 watching on. Tottenham’s new stadium will have a smaller capacity of 62,062, when completed.

Visiting supporters are accommodated in Blocks 112–117, located on the corner of the East and South Stands. Tottenham’s matchday programme, ‘Spurs’ is available for purchase around the stadium at the price of £3.50. There are several ATM’s located inside the stadium, within the concourse area.

There are plenty of food and drink outlets available at Wembley Stadium, meaning that queues never seem to get too long. Alongside matchday classics such as burgers and hot dogs, there is a large range of Pies on sale, including Steak and Ale, Chicken Balti and Bombay Vegetable, all for £4.30. There is also an offer of a Pie and a Pint for £9. Pints of Carlsberg Lager (£4.95), Somersby Cider (£4.95) and Tetley's Bitter (£4.50) are all available, along with hot and soft drink options.

Most pubs in the Wembley area permit home fans only, although one designated away fan option is the Green Man pub on Dagmar Avenue, a short walk from the stadium. This popular venue has a large beer garden, dining area and bar room for supporters to take full advantage of. Alternatively, most venues around Paddington, Baker Street or elsewhere in Central London will be neutral, although it may be advised to keep club colours covered.

The London Designer Outlet at Wembley Park is located next to the stadium and has plenty of food options for before or after the match. The options include fast food restaurants such as Subway, classic chain eateries like Zizzi or Nando’s, and some unique options like Cabana Rio Street Food. There are also a number of shops and a Cineworld cinema within the Outlet complex.

There are also plenty of options near to the Wembley Park Tube station, on Wembley Park Way. Watkin’s Folly is a friendly pub/restaurant with plenty of live sport, the Wembley Tandoori restaurant is a highly-rated Indian eatery with a special matchday menu, whilst the Moulin Café is the perfect place for your pre-match fry up.

The SSE Wembley Arena is located next to the stadium, and is a popular entertainment venue with a capacity of 12,500. On matchday, KSW MMA 45 will be taking place in the Arena, with doors opening at 6pm for the first KSW mixed martial arts event in the UK for three years. Tickets are still available for those interested and can be booked from www.ssearena.co.uk.

Alternatively, if you are staying in the Wembley area over the weekend, why not take in a tour of the Stadium on Sunday, October 7th. Tours start on the hour from 10am until 4pm, although booking in advance is required. Tickets cost £19 for adults and £12 for concessions and under 16’s. The Wembley Tour takes in the Dressing Rooms, Press Room, Players’ Tunnel and the Royal Box.
