The Gaffer began by explaining the importance of home advantage as he looked forward to City's upcoming run of top-flight fixtures.

“We’ve got three out of four home games which are vital," Warnock began. "We’ve got to get points in those three to get us up that table and put us back in the pack. There are quite a lot of teams struggling this season. We’ve had opportunities to get a lot more points than we’ve had, but we’ve got to grasp the opportunity now.

“We can’t keep on saying the same story, and this run of home games against sides not in the top-six is a good opportunity. Of course, the teams that we’re playing against will be thinking the same thing.

“We’ve got to make sure we're working hard to create with what we’ve got. We need that desire to get something from these upcoming games, and we'll know where we are.”

The Gaffer also praised the attitude of his players, before focussing on the fans as he called for another rousing atmosphere at CCS.

“This home game brings me back to our fans," he continued. "It’s no small feat having a full house last time out on a Sunday afternoon. It takes some doing considering how it was when I arrived at the Club two years ago. The lads know how good their support has been too.

“If our players didn’t have that togetherness it’d be a disaster, but the lads are like that. The fans who pay money to go and see the players know that they give everything - so they can accept that.

“We can get the points at this level if all of our departments are firing at the same time, and that’s what we’ve got to try to do in these home games. It’s just up to the fans to fill the seats and create the atmosphere!”
