It's certainly been a busy week in the Welsh capital, as the Bluebirds primed themselves for Friday evening's superb 2-1 victory over Bristol City at Cardiff City Stadium.

On Monday, the Bluebirds kicked off the week by announcing the signing of Canadian international winger, Junior Hoilett.

The twenty-six year old former Blackburn and QPR man has signed a deal at Cardiff City Stadium until June 2017.

There was plenty more to come, as Tuesday morning then saw defender, Sol Bamba, join up with the Bluebirds.

An Ivory Coast international with forty-four caps to his name, Sol has committed to City until the summer of 2018 having signed as a free transfer.

That very afternoon, Neil Warnock brought in his third signing since becoming Bluebirds boss on 5th October.

Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker, Marouane Chamakh, was next to sign on the dotted line, linking up with Warnock for the second time in his career.

On Wednesday, City rounded off their pre-derby day recruits with the acquisition of former Manchester United man, Kieran Richardson.

The left-sided ex-England international signed a short term deal with the Bluebirds and will wear the number fifteen shirt in the Welsh capital.

On Friday evening the week was rounded off superbly, as he Bluebirds defeated Bristol City 2-1t in Neil Warnock’s first game in charge, to secure the Severnside Derby bragging rights.

Peter Whittingham’s penalty and Sol Bamba’s debut goal were enough to record three crucial points for the Bluebirds, despite Lee Tomlin’s consolation.
