German striker Robert Glatzel became a Bluebird in late July 2019, arriving from 1. FC Heidenheim.
Born in Fürstenfeldbruck, Glatzel began his career with local teams 1860 Munich and SpVgg Unterhaching. The striker joined 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 2015, scoring twenty-seven goals in the reserve team before making his first team debut.
The twenty-five-year-old joined Heidenheim in 2017 and enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2018-19. Glatzel scored seventeen goals in twenty-nine League and Cup appearances, including a hat-trick at the Allianz Arena in a thrilling match against Bayern Munich.
Standing at six foot four inches, Robert possesses an imposing physical presence and a keen eye for goal. He joined City on a three-year deal, becoming Neil Warnock’s sixth signing of the summer.
