Attacking midfielder Lee Tomlin joined the Bluebirds from Bristol City in July 2017, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.
The thirty-year old began his career with Rushden and Diamonds before moving to Peterborough United in 2010. Tomlin helped The Posh to promotion from League One, but joined Middlesbrough in 2014. He featured in the 2015 Championship Play-Off Final, but, after Boro were defeated Tomlin joined Premier League newcomers AFC Bournemouth.
Following only six months in the top flight, Lee joined Bristol City on loan and eventually signed a permanent deal at Ashton Gate. After a number of eye-catching performances, including a fine strike against City in Neil Warnock’s first game in charge, Tomlin became a Bluebird ahead of the 2017-18 season.
To date, Lee has made thirteen appearances for the club, scoring once – an injury-time equaliser against Reading in December 2018. In recent seasons, Tomlin has spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest and his former club Peterborough.
