The Bluebirds announced the signing of young striker Max Watters from Crawley Town on 16th January 2021.
Born in London, Max began his professional career with Doncaster Rovers in 2018, following spells at non-league sides Thurrock, Barking and Ashford United. He made five appearances at the Keepmoat Stadium, before joining Crawley in October 2020.
Watters displayed a remarkable talent for finding the back of the net at the Broadfield Stadium, scoring 16 goals for the Red Devils in just over two months. 13 of those strikes came in his 15 league appearances for Crawley, which made Max the 3rd highest goalscorer in League Two at the time of his arrival in the Welsh capital.
The 21-year-old became Neil Harris’ first addition of the 2021 January transfer window, signing a contract with the Bluebirds until the summer of 2024.
