Bacuna arrived in South Wales in January 2019, and made eleven appearances in the second half of the Premier League season.
An experienced and versatile player, Leandro began his career in the Netherlands at Groningen, for whom he made 109 Eredivisie appearances over four seasons, scoring fourteen goals.
The twenty-seven-year-old took his first steps into the British game with Aston Villa, gaining experience in the Premier League and the Championship whilst at Villa Park. Bacuna then spent two seasons at Reading, scoring four goals, before joining the Bluebirds.
Leandro can play at right-back or in central midfield, which is where he predominantly features for the Curacao National Team. Bacuna is the country’s top scorer, and helped Curacao reach the Quarter Finals of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
