Welsh international midfielder Will Vaulks joined the club in late June 2019, signing a three year contract.
After beginning his professional career with Tranmere Rovers, Will moved north of the border to Falkirk. He became a mainstay in the Bairns’ midfield, making over a hundred appearances in the Scottish Championship during three seasons. He signed for Rotherham United in 2016, but suffered relegation to League One during his first season with the Millers.
Will was named Rotherham's 'Player of the Season' the following campaign, as the Yorkshire side made an immediate return to the second-tier via a Play-Off Final win at Wembley. Will’s impressive performances in the 2018/19 season, in which he scored eight goals and recorded seven assists, caught not only the eye of Bluebirds, but also Wales manager Ryan Giggs. Will made his international debut against Trinidad & Tobago in March 2019, and featured in his first competitive outing against Slovakia a few days later.
