Lee Tomlin signed for the Bluebirds on 13th July 2017.
After a few seasons in the Conference with Rushden and Diamonds, Lee made his name in English football at Peterborough United. He helped Posh earn promotion from League One in 2011, featuring in a 3-0 play-off final win over Huddersfield Town.
Tomlin joined Middlesbrough in 2014, becoming an integral part of their starting side under Aitor Karanka. With ten goals from midfield in 2014/15, Tomlin helped Boro achieve a fourth place finish, scoring his side’s third goal in an aggregate 5-1 win over Brentford. The final brought a 2-0 defeat to Norwich, although Lee soon transferred to Premier League Bournemouth.
After a spell with the Cherries, Tomlin joined Severnside rivals Bristol City, earning himself a permanent deal after an initial loan spell, scoring thirteen goals in sixty matches.
He joined Nottingham Forest on loan on deadline day of the January 2018 window, with Jamie Ward moving in the opposite direction.
