Republic of Ireland

Anthony first broke through at Stockport County, after joining from non-league side Atherton Collieries in 2006. He soon became an influential figure for the Hatters, most notably scoring and assisting a goal in their League 2 Play-Off final victory over Rochdale in 2008.

The energetic winger, adept on both feet and with an eye for goal, was then signed by Huddersfield Town and was a regular for the Terriers for two years before moving to Norwich City for around £3 million in 2011.

Anthony made seventy-five Premier League appearances for the Canaries, with his excellent form earning him a call-up to the Republic of Ireland international side. He signed a three-year deal with the Bluebirds in August 2014, scored his first goal in a 2-1 home victory over Sheffield Wednesday in September and finished the 2015/16 season as the Club's top-scorer.
