Kevin Blackwell joined the Bluebirds as Assistant Manager to Neil Warnock in October 2016.
Blackwell was a goalkeeper in his playing days, making two hundred and twenty-seven appearances between the posts for Boston United, among other clubs. He went on to play under Warnock at a number of sides having first worked alongside him at Scarborough.
He first took up coaching duties while still a player at Huddersfield Town and Plymouth Argyle, before going on to coach at sides including Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Barnet and QPR. Blackwell has also gained significant experience as a manager, racking up three hundred and forty-three games at the helm at Leeds United, Luton Town, Sheffield United and Bury.
