Harris pre-QPR | I see improvement in us

Interviews

QPR PREVIEW | HARRIS

Neil Harris held a pre-match press conference ahead of the Bluebirds' Sky Bet Championship trip to QPR.

While the Bluebirds are unbeaten in five matches, the City boss called for his troops to turn draws into wins as the packed fixture schedule rolls on.

"We're not losing games, but we're not winning enough to make sure that we're affecting the top positions," he began.

"The importance of that first goal is something we have talked about as a group.

"It's about being creative, taking our chances and having the best players on the pitch to be able to do that, but also having that mentality to keep a clean sheet as well."

Having given a positive injury assessment on City's Harry Wilson and Lee Tomlin, Harris highlighted the difficulties of consistency in team selection as he eyed continued momentum.

"I think we all understand that with the amount of games that we've got, we can't use the same players continuously," he continued. "But you want your effective players, your game-changers, available in tight games.

"I wouldn't say I'm happy at the moment, as I want us to be winning games. It's always nice to look at the league table when you're in a healthier position.

"But I see improvement in us and I know that once we get that settled squad, we will go from strength to strength."
