A CITY JOINS IN TRAGEDY

Club News

Following the tragic local events on Friday afternoon, all at Cardiff City Football Club would like to share our heartfelt sympathies to the families and friends of those affected by the hit and run attacks across Ely and Leckwith.

A call to Malky Mackay in Nottingham ahead of Saturday’s match has confirmed that the squad will wear black armbands as a mark of respect and solidarity this afternoon. Discussions will also take place over the weekend and Monday concerning ways in which Cardiff City fans can join as a community on Tuesday night to offer their respects, unity and support.

Our prayers are with the families of all involved, along with our best wishes to those receiving support from the excellent University Hospital of Wales medical teams. At this time South Wales Police have confirmed one officially unnamed fatality and that two adults remain in critical condition.
