Amy McNiven appointed in critical new role...

Whilst braced for a 2015/16 Play-Off push this spring, Cardiff City Football Club is also looking at a longer-term commitment to bettering supporter relations and dialogue.

On Monday, the Club announced a supporter-driven 2016/17 Season Ticket initiative (click here) that offers a two year price freeze in addition to significantly improved pricing for junior and student supporters.

And today, we’re delighted to confirm that Amy McNiven has been appointed as Fan Engagement Manager at Cardiff City, acting as the key point of contact for supporters with club related enquiries, issues or concerns. Supporter Liaison Officer, Adam Gilliatt, will retain his duties relating to travel groups and match-day queries.

Having worked for the Club and Community Foundation since 2012, Amy has led a media relations role within the Cardiff City Foundation in conjunction with her duties as host of our weekly magazine show, In The City. Having developed a sound understanding of that link between Club, community and supporters, it’s felt that having her lead such an important new initiative is prudent.

Re-assigning Amy into what the Club sees as a critical new role, CEO Ken Choo said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Amy into the role and see her as key to us driving forward a robust fan engagement strategy through 2016 and beyond.

“Having known Amy for the last year and a half in her role within the Cardiff City Foundation, I’m confident that her diligence and passion when it comes to the Club and its links with the local community will be invaluable to us.”

We’re sure that all supporters will join us in wishing Amy the very best going forward. amy.mcniven@cardiffcityfc.co.ukYou can contact Amy directly by emailing
