“Hull are up there and they’re doing well,” the Skipper began. “They’ve got some confidence at the moment and they’re playing well, so we know we’ve got to be at our best. We want to bounce straight back from Tuesday, it’s against a good side but we know we can do that.

“We’ve had a chance now to look at the Charlton defeat. You can’t dwell on it too long because we have a tough game on Saturday. Our home form has been fantastic so we’ve got to keep that going. We’ll focus on that today, and look forward to it tomorrow.

“We had a really good meeting yesterday. Charlton has been dealt with now and we’re fully focussed on training today. The manager has been brilliant. All the staff are sticking together and we’re driving in the right direction.

“We set up the same way home and away, just as we’ve done for the last couple of years. There’s nothing specifically we can put our fingers on. We’ve got two home games now to get some more points on board. The fact that we have won seven at home gives us confidence at Cardiff City Stadium, but the away form is what it is.

“We could have given up on Tuesday but we didn’t. We gave it a go right up until the end and scored twice late on but, like I said, we can bounce back this weekend and we’re looking forward to doing that."
