SEAGULLS HOLD CITY TO DRAW

Club News

In a hard fought game at Leckwith Stadium, Cardiff City’s U18s drew 1-1 with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Gethyn Hill placed the ball into the back of the net with less than twenty minutes on the clock after a Robbie Patten cross only for his shot to be ruled out for offside. It was the away side that managed to take the lead from a well worked free kick.

The determination of the under-18 side will have impressed new Cardiff City Academy manager Dick Bate who was in attendance and they managed to grab an equaliser when Macauley Southam smashed home a rebounded shot.

Although neither side could find a crucial second goal the City Academy will take heart from fighting back to earn a point against a determined visiting Brighton team.
