HUDSON: WE'VE SET A STANDARD

Mark Hudson feels that the Bluebirds have put a marker down following their fifth consecutive home win.
"We knew Birmingham were going to come in and make it difficult for us, on the back of a good result for them on the weekend," began the Skipper in his post-match press conference. "We had a slow start but we have ground it out, which is something that we have become good at.
"You need to win your home games then pick up some points away from home. We have started to do that - there is a long way to go yet - but we have set our standard.
"I know we are top, I would be lying if I said I didn't, but that is something that we need to hold onto now. It gives us that aim; we have had a good start and we have a really tough game at Ipswich to come.
"Everyone is going to want to beat us because we are top of the league at the moment but they are also going to fear us because of the way we are playing.
"It is a squad game and this is the best squad I've played in. the depth that we've got and the standard that we have got is the same as the players that have been playing. You are going to need that through this tough league.
"If I can help (with goals) then great, but I'm just really buzzing to get the three points and to get another win at home. It sets a good standard and we are really pleased with that."
