TRIBUTES & RESPECTS v WATFORD

Club News

All at Cardiff City Football Club will be honoured to join in tribute on Tuesday night, collectively paying our respects and sympathies following the callous and unnecessary events across Ely and Leckwith last Friday.

Before the match against Watford we will be celebrating the selfless and brave acts of local police, ambulance staff, University Hospital of Wales medical teams and the wider Cardiff community before ushering a minute’s silence to the memory of Karina Menzies who was cruelly taken from her family too soon.

Cardiff City players will again wear black armbands as a mark of respect for the match following the minute’s silence.

The club has invited friends of Karina Menzies to the game, who via a bucket collection will begin the process of raising funds for a support charity that is currently being set up – the details of which will follow as soon as we have them.

We are sure all connected with the club will play a part in paying their respects and longer term support for all affected by the tragic events last week.
