BOWYER: THAT'S WHY THEY'RE TOP

Gary Bowyer paid compliment to Malky Mackay's table-topping Bluebirds during his post-match press conference on Easter Monday.

"Cardiff are top of the League for a good reason," said Blackburn's Caretaker Boss. "They put us under a great deal of pressure in the first half; they hit the bar and put in a lot of crosses and long throws, but I thought we might get to half-time on level terms.

"I did feel that their first goal came as a result of a foul on our goalkeeper Jake Kean, but we had a go second half and the introduction of David Dunn helped us. With one goal in it I felt we were in with a chance of a point, but the second goal was a killer.

"Losing our goalkeeper early in the second half was a blow, but his replacement did well. We are going to have to battle hard now in these remaining games, but I feel that we have the players to get out of trouble."
