City striker gives reaction to opening day lossCity striker Fraizer Campbell called on the Bluebirds to learn from their mistakes from their 2-0 opening day defeat to West Ham.
The Bluebirds' frontman knows what it takes to be successful in the Premier League having spent four years with Sunderland and grown up as a player with the leagues most successful team, Manchester United.
And with a first Premier League appearance with Cardiff City and his return to the top league under his belt, Campbell insists the Bluebirds have what it takes to be competitive this season.
"Most definitely," said Campbell, "It's only one game we've got a lot more to go and I'm sure we'll have enough.
"We need to learn quickly that it's an unforgiving league, where as last season we could've got away with a few mistakes, this season you'll pay for them. We've got to learn quickly like I said but hopefully we can do that throughout the season.
"You can't get away with silly mistakes. You've got to stay strong as a team and work hard in the week and hopefully we can get the mistakes out of the system.
"The fans had waited for this moment for a long time. It wasn't the result we set out to come and get, but it's the first game of the season we'll go back to the drawing board, watch the game over and get ready for the next game.
"There's some positives to take, it's not all bad but we've just got to cut out a couple of those silly mistakes and a little bit of bad defending for us has cost us two goals.
"Like I said before you can't get away with silly mistakes, we've got to stay strong as a team work hard in the week and hopefully iron out the mistakes."
