HUDS: I'M BUZZING FOR FRAIZER

Mark Hudson spoke to Ashley James after City’s hard fought away win over Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.

With City ending Leeds’ six match league winning home streak, the City skipper spoke of his delight in a fantastic performance against tough opponents.

"I’m delighted with that win,” said Huds. "It wasn’t the best game to watch but we can show both sides of what we can do at the moment. If it gets ugly we can scrap it out.

"We stuck together and we’ve been doing so for a while now, really working hard for each other. When games do turn scrappy we’ve shown the ugly side of our game and that’s what we will need. Fraizer’s a poacher so I’m buzzing for him to get off the mark and we march on.

"Today was about a lot of long balls and aerial battles that we’ve had to deal with, but we are more than capable of dealing with that side of football. But we felt we had a chance when Whitts got on the ball and that’s when we started creating things; on another day they might have scored one, but we also might have had a few more.

"Elland Road is a tough place to come. We did have a little chat at half time and we knew we could raise our game a bit and we did; we got our chance, took it and we held on well."

Although goal-scorer Campbell is sure to grab the headlines for City, it was another fine performance from David Marshall and his defence that helped secure a twelfth clean sheet from twenty nine games.

“Marshy has been brilliant,” the Captain added. "I’m really delighted for him and for everyone to get another clean sheet. That’s twelve now this season and it gives us a great base from which to go on and win games."
