RUDY: TOP FORM NEEDED TO BEAT IPSWICH

Club News

Rudy Gestede knows full well that Cardiff City will need to be firing on all cylinders on Saturday should the points be kept on home soil. The Tractor Boys under Mick McCarthy have become one of the divisional form teams, having made inroads in the January transfer market already.

“Ipswich are a good team and although their season didn’t start very well, now they are playing much better,” Rudy said. “When a new manager comes in at a club, sometimes you win the next game but for the longer term not much else changes. For Ipswich though they have improved since then and their form is now much better.

“We will have to see what happens and will have to play very well to get the points we want. We will be ready and to begin with will concentrate on the good things that we can do well to try and win the game.

“Thanks to the people we have here at the training ground and the preparation and meetings we have we also know their strengths and the areas we can try to push. It’s not only about the players here, but everyone at the club who put in a lot of hard work to make us the best we can be. We need them and appreciate what they bring to our game. Hopefully we can put it all into play on Saturday afternoon and for the next few months ahead.”
