JORDON WILL REACH HEIGHTS - MALKY

Club News

Malky Mackay has backed talented midfielder Jordon Mutch to put this season's injury problems behind him and go on to achieve big things with Cardiff City.

Jordon showed his potential as a forward-thrusting attacking midfielder during the early part of the season, with excellent displays in wins at Millwall and at home to Wolves and Leeds United.

A niggling nerve injury in his foot disrupted large chunks of the winter for Jordon, though the former Birmingham City man is now back in the City squad for the season's run in.

"Jordon’s available again. He’s been back the last few weeks available. I guess it’s been frustrating for him that he has had this injury," said Malky to Wales Online.

"But we know that he’s going to go far when he does get back to full fitness. He’s fit and raring to go and has been for the last couple of weeks, but like anything you do have to bide your time.

"I’ve no doubts about Jordon whatsoever. He’s only 21 and I think that people do forget that sometimes when they look at his size and stature, but he is only 21 years old.

“I see huge potential in him for the future of Cardiff City. Who knows what he can achieve over the next ten years."
