City striker set to return to Bolton, subject to international clearance

City can confirm that striker Joe Mason has agreed to return to SkyBet Championship side Bolton Wanderers on loan, subject to international clearance.

The deal will see the 22-year old stay at the Reebok Stadium until the 12th April, a spell that will see Joe in the Trotters squad for eleven of their upcoming league games, prior to returning to the Welsh Capital.

It will be Mason’s second spell on loan in the north west having previously spent two months at the Reebok Stadium this season. Mason made eight appearances for the Trotters, scoring in a 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in December.

Mason joins seven other City players currently out on loan, joining Ben Nugent (Peterborough United), Joe Ralls (Yeovil), John Brayford (Sheffield United), Simon Moore (Bristol City), Deji Oshilaja (Sheffield Wednesday), Filip Kiss (Ross County) and Nicky Maynard (Wigan Athletic), currently on loan from Cardiff City Stadium.

We wish Joe the best of luck in his second spell at the Reebok Stadium.
