City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made five changes to the side that lost 4-0 to Sunderland at Stadium of Light last weekend.

Juan Cala misses out through suspension while Mats Moller Daehli, Gary Medel, Don Cowie and Kevin Theophile-Catherine also drop out of the starting-11. Ben Turner, Aron Gunnarsson, Declan John, Kim Bo Kyung and Wilfried Zaha all come in. 

TEAMS - Cardiff City: Marshall; Fabio, Caulker (C), Turner, John; Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Kim, Mutch, Zaha; Campbell. Subs: Lewis; Jones, Eikrem, Cowie, McNaughton, Berget, Bellamy.

Newcastle United: Krul; Debuchy, Williamson, Coloccini (c), Dummett; Sissoko, Anita, Tiote, Gouffran; Shola Ameobi, Remy. Subs: Elliot, Yanga-Mbiwa, Haidara, S.Taylor, Gosling, Armstrong, de Jong.
