City pair to face England at Liberty Stadium

City pair Declan John and Tommy O’Sullivan have been named in Geraint Williams’ Wales under-21 squad for their upcoming qualifier with England at the Liberty Stadium.

The young Welsh side will face England for a second qualifier against the home nation on Monday 19th May in Swansea, with two away fixtures to follow against Finland and Lithuania in September.

Wales currently sit in third position in Group 1 of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers, nine points behind group leaders England with three games to play.

Both John and O’Sullivan featured for Wales in the previous encounter at Derby County’s iPro Stadium in March, a tie settled by a 56th minute strike from Norwich City’s Nathan Redmond to earn England the 1-0 win.
