RUSSELL: BOLTON WIN GIVES US CONFIDENCE

Club News

Following the Bluebirds 3-2 win over Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium, Russell Slade spoke to the press and media, delighted with his side's display.

The City manager stated that the away victory will give his side great confidence in their matches to come, as he stressed the importance of continuing their momentum at home to Sheffield Wednesday this coming Saturday.

“We got ourselves in a good situation and scored a great goal with a fifteen-pass move, that was well finished by Tony Watt," began Russell.

“To be fair to Bolton, they never lied down all afternoon. They kept fighting back – but we kept responding in a really positive way.

“We showed quality, good energy in the middle of the park and we looked a threat in the final third. It’s nice to score a few goals from open play too, which will give us confidence going forward.

“We’ll now look forward to playing Sheffield Wednesday at home, where we’ve been strong this season, on Saturday afternoon."
