RUSSELL: WE NEED TO RESPOND

Club News
Bluebirds Manager Russell Slade has highlighted that the short time between Christmas games has given his squad the perfect opportunity to put defeat at MK Dons behind them.

City host Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening in a 7.45pm kick-off (TICKETS HERE), knowing that victory could push them up as high as seventh in the Sky Bet Championship – just a point behind Ipswich Town in the final Play-Off place.

Speaking ahead of the game, Slade reflected: “We said in the changing room after the MK Dons game that we’ve only got to wait a few days to respond.

“Forest is another important game for us. We put a lot of importance in the games running to the end of the year and there are three more points up for grabs before we go into January. Three more important points for us. Huge in fact.

“We need to get that four point gap back and get it back quickly. We need to address that very quickly at this stage of the season.

“It’s a critical time, I’m not hiding under a rock. This time of year it’s important to be right in there and we do not want to be slipping away from things. Forest is very much the next step to us doing [that].”
