BLUEBIRDS ON TOUR: LONDON TO AMSTERDAM CHALLENGE

Commercial

We are excited to reveal the latest Cardiff City adventure, as ten members of Bluebirds staff are set to travel across Europe as part of The Football League and Prostate Cancer UK’s ‘London to Amsterdam Challenge’.

The Cardiff City team will be joining the likes of Matt Holland, Terry Butcher, Luther Blissett and Simon Grayson and around 200 others in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for an incredibly worthy cause.

Prostate Cancer UK are the Official Charity Partner of The Football League for 2014/15. In the UK, around 1-in-8 men will suffer with Prostate Cancer during their lifetime. While the Club are aiming high with a £10,200 target, it is as much about raising awareness.

The challenge, and cause behind the cycle was something Chief Executive Officer Ken Choo couldn’t resist, and alongside former City defender Damon Searle and eight others, he will be taking up the momentous task of riding 145 miles in just two days.

“It is a privilege for us as a Club to raise money for such a worthwhile cause,” Ken said. “It will be a challenging task and an experience to cycle 145 miles in such a short space of time, but as a team we are determined to see it through and make our donators and Bluebirds supporters proud.”

The Cardiff City team would like to place on record our thanks to Tredz, who have kindly agreed to loan bicycles to each member of the side for this trial.

Jamie Davies, South Wales area manager for Tredz, has been important in securing this generous donation, and he said the following: “We are delighted to be given the opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause and wish all the riders great success with their fundraising efforts.”

You can donate to the Bluebirds as they look to raise £10,200 for Prostate Cancer UK. The Just Giving link can be found here >>> https://www.justgiving.com/Bluebirds-London-to-Amsterdam-Challenge
