KEY OPPOSITION PLAYER: Paul Green
Republic of Ireland international Green joined the Millers in the summer from Leeds United, and has been a key player in the midfield for Steve Evans throughout the 2014/15 season. Green has appeared in 33 matches to date for Rotherham, netting on three occasions. The former Doncaster, Derby and Ipswich man is arguably one of the first names on the team-sheet with only defender Karl Arnason and goalkeeper Adam Collin having been selected on more occasions this season.

ONE TO WATCH: Ezekiel Fryers
22-year-old Fryers has a plethora of big named previous clubs, having already appeared for the likes of Manchester United, Standard Liege and Tottenham Hotpsur in his relatively short career. A former England youth international, Fryers agreed to an initial one-month loan deal with Rotherham from Crystal Palace, and this has already been extended following an impressive start to life in South Yorkshire. The full-back has been selected on nine occasions to date by Evans, and is likely to be involved as the Bluebirds visit the New York Stadium on Tuesday.

2014/15: Saturday, 6th December, Championship: Cardiff City 0-0 Rotherham United
Cardiff City were held to a goalless draw at Cardiff City Stadium by a determined Millers side. A routine first half played out with both sides’ best chances coming from aerial balls into the box. For the visitors, Tom Lawrence and Ben Pringle were finding joy in the midfield though they too were guilty of wasting opportunities.

The second period saw Cardiff City explode into life, grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck as the half wore on. Though several chances came City’s way through hard work and endeavour with Craig Noone, Federico Macheda and Adam Le Fondre going close though the golden touch deserted the Bluebirds. 0-0 the final score.
