CARDIFF CITY OPEN TRAINING DAY 2016: A TIMELINE

Training

Over 1000 Bluebirds supporters watch the City squad train at CCS...

We enjoyed a superb day at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday, 4th August as the Bluebirds first team squad trained in front of the Cardiff City supporters.

A jam packed day began once the Cardiff City SuperStore opened at 9am, with queues starting outside Gate Two from the early morning.

While the first team squad completed their warm-up just after 11am, Cardiff City Head Coach Paul Trollope addressed the 1000+ crowd at Cardiff City Stadium.

The Bluebirds completed a one hour training session at Cardiff City Stadium, with Paul and his management team putting the City squad through their paces.

During the session, Bartley Bluebird led the young City fans in a special show of support - a training day Ayatollah!

Training concluded at Cardiff City Stadium around midday, with the squad meeting their audience for signatures and pictures.

Thursday evening's edition of match preview show In The City, our first of the new campaign, was filmed almost immediately as the players finished training with Jazz Richards making his ITC debut. Bluebirds No.10 Lex Immers joined Jazz and host Amy McNiven for the show, answering questions sent in via our Social Media channels. You can watch this interview in full on Cardiff City Player HD.

Gotta Catch 'Em All!  Cardiff City's first PokéTour took place in the early afternoon, with participants joining Stuart O'Keefe and Bruno Ecuele Manga on a Poké-hunt through Cardiff City Stadium.

And finally... the days events concluded at our Fred Keenor Statue - the PokéTour closing with a picture in-front of the iconic monument.

All at Cardiff City would like to thank the Bluebirds faithful for their support on an enjoyable day at Cardiff City Stadium!
