Gaffer cites victory on the South Coast following stalemate earlier in the month...

Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City make the trip to Amex Stadium this Friday for a tough test against Championship league leaders Brighton & Hove Albion.

Speaking ahead of the visit to East Sussex, the Bluebirds boss addressed the press and media and expressed how he’s looking forward to the challenge ahead.

“They’re a good side and their front four are probably as good as any in this league,” Neil began.

“I watched the game the other night, and the first goal from [Sam} Baldock was top of the Premier League class – it was unbelievable. People said about the defending, but I don’t think any defender would have stopped that.

“I’m looking forward to it tomorrow, it’s always a good atmosphere there. Kev [Blackwell] went the other night and said it was electric and a full house.

“It’s a great challenge and a great game to look forward to. We’ve got to try and be organised and give them the best game we can. We want to try and become the first team to beat them as they have gone seventeen games undefeated.”

There was nothing to split the Bluebirds and the Seagulls when they played out a 0-0 draw at Cardiff City Stadium earlier in the month, and Warnock can see some similarities with Brighton off the pitch, too.

The City manager continued: “I can compare Cardiff with a Brighton of this world. We want to be where they are. It’s hard work to get there, it doesn’t come overnight. You’ve got to make some good decisions.”
