"Play-Offs remain a very realistic target this year"

Bluebirds forward Anthony Pilkington spoke exclusively to Cardiff City Player HD’s ‘In The City’ on Thursday, ahead of the trip to his former club, Huddersfield Town.

Anthony has flourished in a more advanced role for Russell Slade’s side in the past two games, with a ‘Man of the Match’ two-goal performance against Rotherham United last time out.

“I was happy with [the goals] Saturday, although obviously disappointed not to get the three points,” Anthony told host, Amy McNiven. “We definitely deserved them, but it wasn’t to be.

“Hopefully we’ll get the three points that we should have got last weekend, this weekend at Huddersfield. We were looking for back to back wins last weekend but didn’t get it – that’s probably been the story of our season so far.

“We’re looking for another away win now, like we did last time we were on the road, at Wolves. We’re looking for that little run now to push us on.

“Play-Offs definitely remain a very realistic target; we’re still in amongst it.”

Hear more from Anthony, plus new-boy Lex Immers in this week’s show – in full now, only on Cardiff City Player HD.
