Cardiff City midfielder Aron Gunnarsson is set to captain Iceland in their European Championship opener tonight against Portugal - 8pm kick-off.

The Bluebirds No.17 scored his first two international goals during the qualifying campaign, while leading Iceland through their difficult qualification group (defeating the Netherlands home and away) to qualify for a first ever major international tournament.

Gunnarsson and his Iceland teammates complete their initial group campaign with matches against Hungary, on Saturday and Austria on Wednesday, 22nd - with all three matches available to view live on the BBC.
