Club News

Cardiff City's U21 side ensured all Severnside bragging rights remained in the Welsh Capital City, following up on the first team's win over Bristol City with a 2-0 win of their own in the U21 Professional Development League.

The young Bluebirds took the lead on 12 minutes, Kadeem Harris flicking the ball beyond Max O'Leary from Jamie Veale's free kick.

It didn't take Kevin Nicholson's side long to double their advantage, Tommy O'Sullivan with a composed finish, rounding O'Leary before timing his shot to perfection, beating two men on the line.

Nicholson's men controlled this match from start-to-finish and went close to adding to their total through David Tutonda, Harris, Robbie Patten and Macauley Southam in the second half.

The away side came up with a good opportunity with fifteen minutes remaining, but Aden Baldwin could only hit the top of the crossbar with a close range volley. The Bluebirds deservedly securing all three points from this league derby fixture.
